[so, someone guessed right and is currently standing over Ganymede's body, the tip of her staff pressed into the mangled flesh of the captain's former face. she's completely nonchalant about this, by the by, and more angry that she didn't get to kill him than that he's dead and at her feet and she's poking him with a stick none-too-gently]

The captain was to be mine. For harming the Doctor, he was mine to destroy.

[looks away from her sphere, down into the engineering section and toward where she thinks Orion went. he is so not on her happy list, let me tell you :|]

It would seem, however, we have more to concern ourselves with than the captain's untimely death, if those monitors are at all correct.

Normally I'd say no, but...unfortunately, we're all reliant on these barcodes. You wouldn't be able to use any of the facilities or anything. Sure, there's some stairs and the hallways, but if Orion shows up and hops on a transportation pad, you'll be out of luck because you can't follow.

[pouts slightly; she knows he won't fully agree to those methods and no, turning his back on it isn't agreeing with the notion, darn it.]

Then I would find a way. I do not require a barcode to navigate a ship.

[smiles.] I'd hope that you, out of anyone, would be able to. If not, well, at least we'd still have Donna to help. And Lyle too! I think they're both unharmed. I haven't found them yet...

[hmphs, then turns on her heel and begins walking away, expecting him to follow]

[chuckles; he does follow her, but remains a step or two behind, examining his injured hand while he walks. yep, definitely no feeling in his third and fourth fingers. hopefully, he's not going to need them for any typing or anything else that would require the full usage of his hand.]

So...after we've got some medical supplies for my hand, where do you wish to go next, hmm?

[eventually glances back at him, though she's still all :|] Level 3, of course.

Well yes, that's a given, but what if it's not even opened yet?

The captain is gone. There must be a method by which to access the area now that he is unable to stop us. If I must, I will bring biomass with me, should the Level only be accessible using his DNA.

[lifts it, glancing at the bottom, then grins] So it would seem, Doctor.

[runs his good hand through his hair] So long as you don't wish to go back and retrieve the man's thumb or eye...

No. I do not wish. It is a logical suggestion, however.

Logical yes, but...was there even anything left to his face? I hardly think it's worth cannibalising his body in search for something that was crushed to oblivion.

A paltry amount. [sighs] We shall have to see if Level 3 requires a retina scan, then. If it does, it will be far more difficult to access.

If it comes to that point, perhaps by then we'll have found Orion and we can use him to gain access.

Perhaps. Assuming he does not remain as elusive as he has been.
