[so, someone guessed right and is currently standing over Ganymede's body, the tip of her staff pressed into the mangled flesh of the captain's former face. she's completely nonchalant about this, by the by, and more angry that she didn't get to kill him than that he's dead and at her feet and she's poking him with a stick none-too-gently]

The captain was to be mine. For harming the Doctor, he was mine to destroy.

[looks away from her sphere, down into the engineering section and toward where she thinks Orion went. he is so not on her happy list, let me tell you :|]

It would seem, however, we have more to concern ourselves with than the captain's untimely death, if those monitors are at all correct.

Oi, I'll have you know that if you kept your doors locked at all times, I might not have had some of them!

You are the one who fails to lock my doors!

Not like you can't do so yourself! You've proved that enough times!

That is beside the point.

Well, I don't regret taking those companions either, stowaways or not.

[frowns and goes back to scanning for the entryway.]

[frowns and looks herself, put out]

[starts heading into empty offices, hoping for something to show up in them.] Oh honestly, just how many ways around this place could that damn commander have that we don't know about? It's like playing with only part of a deck of cards with that man!

You seem particularly agitated, Doctor..

Well, how can you not be?! Continually meeting dead end after dead end...

[hisoldgirl]

I see no sense in growing angry at a poorly designed ship.

[bit_impossible]

I don't see why I can't be. Nearly nine months of this. And all we've been able to do is play the games set forth by Ganymede, Orion, or the ship itself and we're so close to an answer now, I can feel it.

[hisoldgirl]

Then grow angry with Ganymede or Orion, but not the ship. It is not the ship's fault it is designed so. [frowns] It should help us, but it is not at fault for its design.

[bit_impossible]

I'm not angry at its design. I'm angry at it for not even helping its pilot and occupants inside. As much as you couldn't stand some of my companions, I know you'd never do anything to hurt them.

[hisoldgirl]

No, I would not. But I am sentient, Doctor. This ship ... I do not believe it is. Without being able to speak with it, I cannot be certain, but I do not sense life from it.

[bit_impossible]

That would explain how it's allowed itself to be manipulated in such a fashion.

For that alone, Orion deserves whatever punishment I choose to inflict upon him. No ship should be treated so.

[goes quiet for a moment.] No, not even one such as this.

[hisoldgirl]

[nods, going silent, and simply presses her hand to the walls. the ship might frustrate her, and might be beneath her in terms of complexity, but it is still a ship, and the longer she spends in a body not her own, the more she begins to sympathise with the Crucible]
