{Data Stream 17} - When Anger Shows

[so, someone guessed right and is currently standing over Ganymede's body, the tip of her staff pressed into the mangled flesh of the captain's former face. she's completely nonchalant about this, by the by, and more angry that she didn't get to kill him than that he's dead and at her feet and she's poking him with a stick none-too-gently]

The captain was to be mine. For harming the Doctor, he was mine to destroy.

[looks away from her sphere, down into the engineering section and toward where she thinks Orion went. he is so not on her happy list, let me tell you :|]

It would seem, however, we have more to concern ourselves with than the captain's untimely death, if those monitors are at all correct.

[Riku says it is crazy and that is final] I believe the same, but actually finding a way to do so is another matter entirely.

I can't help but wonder if we're going about this all wrong...if we're missing something each time.

[temperamental old time ship > you, Riku] What do you suggest we look for? I have attempted talking with the ship itself but I am unable to find the proper communication devices.

[...sadly, this is the truth] I don't have anything concrete to go on yet, other than instead of always chasing the captain, perhaps we should chase Orion instead.

[bwahahaha] I have no intention of allowing Orion to escape, just as I had no intention of allowing Ganymede. I fully intend on exacting proper punishment on the commander.

Err...I think we're going to need him alive.

That remains to be seen. It does not change the inevitable outcome.

But has he really done anything to harm us? The captain has blatantly expressed ill will towards us, but when has Orion ever done so?

I do not trust him, and he has all ready proven dangerous. [jabs Ganymede's mangled head as proof. actually, she'd jab it anyway but still, point stands] I have no intention of allowing him to harm what is mine before taking action against him.

Proven dangerous to the captain, at least. [...looks away. he's not a fan of dead bodies, no] How do we know he's going to harm any of us?

His messages have become seemingly more chaotic and his actions more uncertain. He is obsessed. Those who are obsessed often do not care about that which gets in their way.

I will agree with that. He was...agitated this time. Upset by something, though I'm not sure what.

He mentioned that someone was dead. Hadn't he done that before?

I seem to recall something of the sort, yes, though the details are unclear. [frowns] It is like before, when I had no clear memory. There are only vague images and sounds, but nothing concrete. It is frustrating.

I suppose I'm lucky in that most of my memories are clear, at least when I'm allowed to remember them. [he starts to pace - in his jammies - hands clasped behind his back] I remember Orion approaching the captain with malicious intent just before we entered the black hole last time. And before that, I'm fairly certain it was his voice we heard, stating that the captain was getting what he deserved.

Ah, yes. I do recall that, though I do not remember the first event as clearly. My databanks were encoded strangely after the first incident, it seems. [frowns, staring at the ceiling, contemplative] If events have unfolded in a similar fashion this many times for us, I must wonder how long Ganymede and Orion have played this game without us privy to its events.

Who can say? I'd hazard a guess that our arrival has shifted the balance somewhat, since we've seen more and more of the both of them each time.

[sighs softly] I still feel that we're missing something, however. Some key piece that fits it all together.

Effecting Time through our presence? That is dangerous territory. We could be creating a paradox.

Perhaps something to do with the various areas of the ship?

I know. I seriously have to wonder if our efforts are only make our situation worse.

I think so. I definitely want to inspect level three again, though it's still blocked off at this time.

There is nothing for it even if they are. The Doctor will figure out a way to fix everything should it go awry, anyhow.

Then we need only unblock it. I have no intention of waiting around. I will drag Ganymede's body if it comes to that.
