[so, someone guessed right and is currently standing over Ganymede's body, the tip of her staff pressed into the mangled flesh of the captain's former face. she's completely nonchalant about this, by the by, and more angry that she didn't get to kill him than that he's dead and at her feet and she's poking him with a stick none-too-gently]

The captain was to be mine. For harming the Doctor, he was mine to destroy.

[looks away from her sphere, down into the engineering section and toward where she thinks Orion went. he is so not on her happy list, let me tell you :|]

It would seem, however, we have more to concern ourselves with than the captain's untimely death, if those monitors are at all correct.

The captain's dead?! [And it's a black hole. She's heard of black holes, but she never thought she would be facing one -- but she's not going to think about that. Not when she knows what they do.]

What?! But I thought that he was the one who was supposed to be helping us? What's going on?!

I do not know. [considers her] Are you worried?

[smiles weakly] We're heading for a black hole and the man who's supposed to be helping us looks like he wasn't after all. I can't not be worried.

I would not say that exactly. I intended on disposing of Ganymede myself. The loss of the captain is of little concern to me. As for the black hole, I have no intention of allowing the past to happen again. I fully intend to escape.

Yes, but how? And how can we get everyone else out?

My true self is trapped somewhere on this ship. If we can find her, removing everyone will be simple.

But... wouldn't that cause some sort of paradox, though? I mean, you and her... meeting up. That's what happens when you meet yourself, isn't it?

My being here with the Doctor and you, who are from my future, is just as capable of causing a paradox. This ship seems to discard the Laws of Time as it will. Meeting myself will boast no further damage to Time.
