{Data Stream 17} - When Anger Shows

[so, someone guessed right and is currently standing over Ganymede's body, the tip of her staff pressed into the mangled flesh of the captain's former face. she's completely nonchalant about this, by the by, and more angry that she didn't get to kill him than that he's dead and at her feet and she's poking him with a stick none-too-gently]

The captain was to be mine. For harming the Doctor, he was mine to destroy.

[looks away from her sphere, down into the engineering section and toward where she thinks Orion went. he is so not on her happy list, let me tell you :|]

It would seem, however, we have more to concern ourselves with than the captain's untimely death, if those monitors are at all correct.

Doctor? Are you well? [she is very concerned! mainly because she didn't realise others were injured but THE DOCTOR MUST BE SAAAAAAAAFE] No, I have not seen the commander. Why?

[bit_impossible]

I was concerned he'd try to hurt someone else, not that Ganymede didn't have this coming. As for me, I--well, I've been better. [he knows she's not going to be happy to see him hurt, but there's no way he can hide the ugly burn marring the back of his left hand. so he walks over to her, cradling his hand, and shows her.]

He is the one who killed Ganymede, I am certain. For that, I feel he deserves to be punished. [frowns, waiting while he makes his way to her, and doesn't react when he shows her. it's just a cold, calculated anger] How?

He does. He lied to us about needing to get to the engine room so he can board the ship. Orion was already on the damn ship in the first place!

When I tried to guess the answer to the riddle, the panel gave me a rather nasty jolt. For it to have hurt me like this...

[hisoldgirl]

And yet I do not understand how, when we first saw him on Eos, did we not?

[delicately traces the edge of the burn] Will it heal?

[bit_impossible]

We did meet him there, yes. But sometime between when he first sent his transmission and when we saw him going to those lifts, he'd gotten on board somehow. Transmat beam, perhaps, or through some other means we haven't been able to find.

[hisses a bit; the skin around the burn can definitely feel that pain.] It should. But I won't be able to use any of the automated systems any longer. [laughs bitterly] I'm locked out of my own room.

[hisoldgirl]

Perhaps the ship brought in him in the same fashion as the rest of us? He simply has the advantage of knowing its interior. [frowns, glancing away] We should find him.

[draws her hand away, reaching up to press her fingers to his jaw] Do not worry. I will take care of you, Doctor.

Perhaps, but we should find him. Stop him before he turns against the passengers. Sadly...Ganymede's of no more use to us.

[smiles] Thank you. But we lack the medical supplies here.

[hisoldgirl]

I have no qualms about stopping him.

I can bind it, at least. [reaches down, tearing off part of her dress, and begins to dress his wound as best she can] I do not want to leave your side.

With what he's done...neither do I. [he doesn't sound happy about this either.]

No, I wouldn't get far without your help anyway. [winces slightly and wonders how long it'll be before he can feel the entirety of his hand again.] I seem to be having the worst luck with this hand.

[hisoldgirl]

Good. [she does :D]

So it would seem. [finishes binding it, frowning faintly] Do you desire to return to the others who have been injured?

[bit_impossible]

There's nothing left here besides those monitors and the level three clue. Well, it isn't much of a clue; there's been something about level three this entire time.

We should return there. I have a feeling that even if I tried to play with the consoles here, I'd meet the same dead ends I have in the past. Orion should be our main objective.

[hisoldgirl]

And yet it is always out of reach, whatever we need. [frowns] But very well. We should head there. We can gather supplies along the way so that your burn might be properly treated.

[her eyes narrow dangerously and she smiles] I will deal with Orion, Doctor.

[bit_impossible]

[notes the state of his hand. he didn't notice it before, but he can't move two of the fingers on his hand.] Yes, I should get some ointments on it at least.

I'm going with you.

Then we will gather some.

Very well. But I will deal with him.

Knowing Oliver, he'll have sussed out a source or two for anything medical. I do doubt, however, that he managed to keep himself out of trouble.

You will let me get in a question or two, won't you? [smiles wryly]

Surprising, knowing his dislike of the medical profession. [is she still angry about when they got injured before? naaaaaaaaaaw] I had not even considered it a possibility.

[smiles] Perhaps.

I think he dislikes it because he's been in hospital far too many times for his liking. And unfortunately, I have. I'm only glad you weren't hurt either.

Good! [because he'd ask anyway!]

I doubt it would have harmed me badly.

I get to dispose of him, though.

In the very least, it would've burned your own barcode off. The panel seemed to be attracted to it in a way.

...Perhaps. [he'll pretend he didn't hear that.]

I do not need it.

I am pleased we are in agreement. [top that]

Normally I'd say no, but...unfortunately, we're all reliant on these barcodes. You wouldn't be able to use any of the facilities or anything. Sure, there's some stairs and the hallways, but if Orion shows up and hops on a transportation pad, you'll be out of luck because you can't follow.

[pouts slightly; she knows he won't fully agree to those methods and no, turning his back on it isn't agreeing with the notion, darn it.]

Then I would find a way. I do not require a barcode to navigate a ship.

[sorry, Doctor, but your Powers of Pouting + 8 have no effect. roll to avoid damage]

[smiles.] I'd hope that you, out of anyone, would be able to. If not, well, at least we'd still have Donna to help. And Lyle too! I think they're both unharmed. I haven't found them yet...

[rolls a 10, how fitting.]
